Finally! Here's the updated Form I-9

I received an email this morning from the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services with links to the updated Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification .  The new PDF version of the form and instructions on the USCIS website is 9 pages long and per the "Paperwork Reduction Act" is supposed to take about 35 minutes per response. Wow. 

 Employers should start using the new form immediately.  However, if employers need to update their employment processes, they may continue using old versions of the form until May 7, 2013.  After May 7, 2013, employers must utilize the updated form. 

So for seasonal employers who utilize Cool Works for your summer staff, get to know this form and have it in place when the bulk of your staff will arrive this spring.
