FMLA not expanding (for now)

Just an update on the previous post about the FMLA potentially expanding to cover employees whose spouse, child or parent are called for active military duty. On December 28, 2007, President Bush vetoed the bill, not so much for the FMLA provisions, but for other provisions which, according to the White House fact sheet, "risk imposing financially devastating hardship on Iraq...."
